Cool NZ's Shane Bond may miss summer Tests

Bond may miss Tests with longer term in mind
With the summer series looking like a speed gun battle I noted this story with interest and relief, (insert Miss Moneypenny type joke here).

They are also bringing a small squad so I presume they will garner replacements from the county circuit, although I am struggling to think of who they could use.

Check out what the official black caps website has to say:-

I suppose that's pretty good news for our Batters, though overall I was looking forward to watching Mr Bond. I've heard a lot of (good) things about him. How quick is he? Is he accurate aswell?

Me too. Both full strength and even matched line ups would have been great viewing. Not the end of the world for them but he will be missed.

Shame we may not get to see him this summer. Chris Martin, not the Coldpaly crooner but the Kiwi swing bowler, may be the man most likely to find conditions to his liking.

Thats good value - they'd cost you over 280 NZ dollars in, er, NZ.

I'm expecting a fair amount of pro fantasy team bias over the coming weeks . . .

Yes I was really looking forward to seeing Bond myself. I think he will be one of those unfortunate bowlers who always break down. Like Brett Schulz of South Africa if anyone remembers him.
