Wanna bet the grounds would be packed with a combo of cricket fans and anti-Mugabe/human rights activists? I would be happier watching that on Sky than the travesty of a tour to Zim. I wonder if anyone will cover the tour other than to report the scorecards anyway? |

Well the BBC won't cover it - unless they have people watching on Sky - BBC employees have been banned from entering Zimbabwe. I expect that Chris Cowdrey will want the work though so talksport would send Grieg to wind things up a bit.

Are there any British journalists in Zimbabwe even now? I know The Times and Telegraph correspondents have been banned (and The Times' correspondent even supported the England tour going ahead, which shows how brainless totalitarian states are - of course, he's now changed his mind). I can't imagine The Guardian and Independent still being allowed to have their people there.

Telegraph man has just been expelled. Most British journalists either work under cover, or report from the South African side of the Limpopo and comment something on the lines of "Zimbabwe is just the other side of this bridge, but this is as far as we are allowed to go". I guess that there must be some British journalists left, but there can't be many.

So can Sky and Talksport cover it? and if so should they? Without any TV or radio contracts to pay for the tour will the ZCU make any money out of it? Are the Aussie TV/Radio covering the Australia tour?
