Would a 2nd/3rd Generation Brit in India support India if England toured there?

Amen, living in Bradford with a family mixed between English and West Indian I see a lot of this, and it is annoying.
One thing to note though it is ONLY some Asians, plenty like Nasser are British and regard themselves as British, perhaps British Asians but British first, it is the ones who expect Britain to change to fit in with their cultural and religious views which cause the greatest problems. Why should we respect thier beliefs when they show such disregard for ours?

It seems funny that countries like India and Zimbabwe can acuse the ECB of racism when the list of "non-white" players to have played for and in some cases to have captained England is so long and goes back so far.

Yeh, well that's why you're annoyed (if I understand what you're saying) and why I made the suggestion that people should ask you/anyone to elaborate if they're not sure about something.

As far as I'm concerned they can support whoever they like as long as they respect those who support the country they inhabit. That seems to me what is often missing, where we as England supporters are subject to vitriol and abuse from those who actually live in our country. I would prefer thgem to support England but they have the freedom to choose, that is why many of their parents came over here in the first place. We live in a great country where freedom of speech and thought are at the forefront of our rights, this shouldn't change just because we want a few more fans for our cricket team.

Yes I understand that.

I've complained about many posts (most by SKR) and they allow them to remain - it seems double standards to me.

That board is for discussion of Cricket Issues - sometimes theres everything there except Cricket Issues.

I reckon you should support whatever your gut instinct tells you to. You can't manufacture your feelings for one team or the other, irrespective of how long you have been in a certain country.

Sadly, though we expect immigrants to the country to become instantly angliscised, we dont always so it ourselves - you only have to see the morons we export to spain who have created a little britain there
