'Cork *was* a bowler who batted'

Says it all really. By the way, Freddy's best form of his life is difficult to judge. He's never reall put consistent bowling with consistent batting. Combine SA last summer with nbowling v WI, then there's a case.

I think that's an excellent side...though I do have to say Trescothick is too good for it.
There's Paul Parker (Sussex), James Whittaker (Leics), Ed Smith (Kent), Fairbrother - didn't play too many Tests.
Tim Curtis, it is bad taste probably to pick Andy Lloyd (he might've been good). I can't remember the name of the other Glamorgan opener - was it Steve James? (Or is he an ugly snooker player?) He speaks very highly of me too.

I'm thinking that there should be a space there for Mark Ilott in the bowling. And didn't Aftab Habib play the odd Tests?

It's strangely gratifying that our 'worst ever' Test side is actually quite decent.

Ealham has a Test bowling average of 28 !!! And McGrath has a stupidly high Test batting average and probably a ridiculous low bowling average due to him only playing against Zimbabwe.

The others I agree with!!!

Ah see, now you're into the 'A' side - although I get a funny feeling that before the day is out we might have got up to a 'C' or 'D' side!

Paul Parker goes back a little too far I think, James Whittaker only ever got one test I think, so that is hardly fair. Illott and Habib are worthy picks, as are Min Patel, Joey Benjamin, Richard Dawson and some would say Kirtley!

Then of course, there is the left armer factor - Mike Smith, Ryan Sidearse, Simon Brown, Paul Taylor, Alan Mulally and Mark Ilott - now that's a weird thing too!
