Giles was interviewed by Gower at the break and thinks the bounce in the pitch will suit Harmison and Flintoff. Anderson could also profit because he hits the deck hard.

One of the features of this site allows you to see what areas of the forum other members are viewing - so Scott - what;s your view of Englands efforts so far?!

That is very cruel! He's still in shock over Trescothick's score. Give him a chance to recover.

Don't think anyone's ever doubted Tresco's class at the one-day game. Tests are a different story. Most of the fast bowlers round the world have him worked out now.

Shall we take a bet on Trescothick's performances in the New Zealand Tests? Pollock and Ntini didn't have him worked out in his murderous double century last summer, nor in his other fifties.

Unhappy That's gotta be a wide, surely?

Has there ever been a bowler who bowled a wide in order to play on the batsmans nerves and buy his wicket? This is the best spin i can put on the Harminators bowling.

No way am I betting on an England player to fail. If Trescothick retains his place, I want to be proved wrong. Hopefully he will start making some first innings scores.

I'm glad of that. It was one of the things that most angered me of certain people on the BBC MB that they wanted some England players to fail to that they would be dropped. There was even one particular post in this line about the entire "A" team that left me absolutely insensed.

As I have just said to Ernest in another thread, I will back Trescothick to get at least a century and a fifty against New Zealand. It's Vaughan who worries me more because his problem is mental rather than one of form.

Smile Second thoughts

Great Cricket there from England! A batsman well set gives half - no a slither of a chance to changes made in the bowling. A tight over from Freddie causing a loose shot - which was glooped by Collingwood.
