Your flatmate wasn't called Keith was he? Thin chap, balding, used to have ginger hair and milk bottle glasses.
Claimed to be from Yorkshire, despite being born in Hammersmith hospital?

Reactionary college lecturer? No...?

Pet hates

Mark Butcher. Where is his concentration, application, test match temperament. so many of his innings are brilliant 50 or 60's when whats needed is slow century ground out to help build a good total. And his fielding is rubbish.

Tescothick for similar reasons, he should tighten up his technique, stop playing like every innings is a thirty over run chase and improve his slip catching.

Ashley Giles for not being able to make the ball move off line. Spin the damn ball you goon !

My team Glamorgan who are either rarely brilliant or usually idiots. How did they end up with a draw last weekend ? The most unlikely result that i've yet to work out.

Second choice Aussies who are just here for the money and contribute little to the county teams.

Yeah, he's just a left arm slow pace bowler. He needs a mystery ball, one that actually turns.

Sorry to barge in here Kirsty.

But if the BBC highlights music reminds you of your youth...god...well, I wish I was your side of 30.

I still had knees when I was 28. Working ones anyway. But I was a garbage not very fast bowler.
Loss of pace has certainly added to my mystery, if the stat-man's figures are to be believed.

Still, s'nothing wrong with 28. I liked it, even if it was 14 years ago.

God this is terrible, you really want to say something momentous when you're approaching your hundred.
You know, the proverbial extra cover drive, and all I can do is compliment somebody on being younger than me.
Sorry Kirsty, don't mean to patronise...I'm just jealous.

We've wandered from the subject somewhat.

So just while the rain falls...I'll get back to "Pet Hates"

Javed Miandad - top batsman, but looked too much like a Mexican bandit for my liking.
Wasn't keen on his input into the Gatting - Shakoor Rana affair.

Ganguly reminds me of a sulky teenager who's just been told that he can't go out until he's done his homework.
