LOL! I wouldn't go as far as to say that - apparently my case for dropping Trescothick is 'rather slim' according to one poster here! But sadly, I think Giles's place is going to be under some pressure fairly shortly, even more so if the batting starts firing as it should!

But hey, many (in fact almost all, apart from the England selection panel) people would say my case for keeping Giles in the side is 'rather slim' too!! Don't let other people's views put you off!!!

Well Giles would help his cause no end if every once and a while he actually managed to get a ball to turn!

Whoops, I don't beleive I said that!

To paraphrase the cricket authority that is mel gibson in lethal weapon

The case for excluding tresco is slim, the case for including ashly giles is anorexic.

Well, of course that would be nice... but you can't have everything you want.. so lets learn to settle for what we have - a decent, hardworking, team-centered player. He is a defensive bowler who bowls the way he does because a) he is asked to, and b) because he knows his limits. Not much of a case, but there you go!

LOL!! very quick! But just think, if Giles never played test cricket again, Vaughan would get home sick without his bestest friend, and wouldn't be able to play in the winter tours...

He could always take a gameboy rather than a gim......no in the interests of decency I'll leave it be.

On a slightly different note, I'd pick someone who was crap at cards for the next ODI team away from home because thats all we're doing at the moment !

You wouldn't belive that in grotty old England, we had a beautiful weekend, while in the WI it was ****ing it down non-stop! Perhaps we should offer to host the remaining games...

P.s - I think it was a good idea that you cut yourself off where you did, given my profession, I may well have taken issue with it!
