| I like Blackwell.....I haven't seen much of him, but I remember a game in Sri Lanka during the Champions trophy in 2002, when Sehwag and Ganguly were hitting every England bowler on view out of the park, Blackwell bowled 6 overs for 32, and got Viru out, I think....Plus he made 82, without which England would have struggled to reach 200. So, yeah, if you HAVE to drop Giles and with 4 good bowlers already in the side, I like the idea of Blackwell being the spinner cum batsman, but I am not sure if it is a long term option. And I also think lots of you guys are under rating Giles, he is not a matchwinner, but he frustrated Sachin enough to become the only bowler to get him out stumped.........He is better than what you guys think. |
