| Mark Kidger Yes we are at one,Anderson is an attacking bowler,I think he has a lot of potential, sods law ,we have just been making these comments about him being expensive, and as I was writing he bowled a good tight over. Thats cricket.Flintoff is back. |

| I think Caddick was great in his prime, but he certainly should not make any kind of comeback into One Day or Test cricket. My reasoning behind this is, if we keep going back to the 'old' players the youngsters will never get the chance to have a decent run in the side thus building some kind of consistency in their performances. We have Jones, Anderson and Harmison now, I think we should build for the future and build this new look England into a great team. Caddick should just keep his mouth shut and focus on Somerset rather than banging on about how great he is and how he should be involved in the England set up. We've seen Fletcher bring Gough back into ODIs which to me should never have happened. Caddick should be remembered for how talented he once was, not for his constant outbursts about how brilliant he still is. |

well at least he will be remembered. I have seen people saying we have the 3 new bowlers now, give or take Anderson/Hoggard. I rate Flintoff as a front linr bowler.Wecome baby freddie. |

| [quote=ernest] I have seen people saying we have the 3 new bowlers now, give or take Anderson/Hoggard. I rate Flintoff as a front linr bowler. I personally feel that Anderson should be given another chance in the side. For me, Jones is the likely candidate for replacement in the side with his sometimes wayward bowling, which could be argued is a lack of experience and will improve as his career progresses. I'd like to see Harmison, Hoggard and Anderson as frontline bowlers with Flintoff backing them. Hoggard is necessary for his swing and as we have seen during this tour his line and length has definitely improved and has become a more consistent bowler (as illustrated by 'Hawkeye'). My worry with England's attack is the spin department -I wonder if Caddick will offer himself up! |
