Once again momentum has been lost at a critical stage.280 looks like the best that they can hope for unless there is a Flintoff bombardment. Probably not enough.

This is exactly what happened yesterday and I think what ultimately cost them the game. For some reason and I'm not sure why it is, but Gayle really seems to tie down an end - scoring anything against him seems very difficult - I think its the way he's constantly varying the pace, line, flight and spin that's making it hard for batsman to pick him off.

One thing is for sure - they need to ramp up this run rate now if they're going to have any chance of winning this game, anything less than 300+ won't be good enough.

Consider it ramped. Some pretty amazing clean striking from Collingwood. Meanwhile Freddie pushes singles... Curious reversal of roles!

Partnership is 52 off 43 balls so far. Bradshaw gets his revenge by dismissing Flintoff after Flintoff hit a massive six with the previous ball. Read comes in with 5 overs to go which is his go. He'll start smashing from the start.

Freddy just banged a six.

Flintoff is playing correct while Collingwood is playing like this.Feddy is out I am afraid.

I think we have to bat outside the crease in the last few overs while the bowlers are trying to bowl yorkers. What's the point in staying inside the crease? Yorkers are hard to get away from there.

Why a collapse again?

I thought England could get 300. All of a sudden, a wicket falls and there is a procession. Not good at all.

Why a collapse again? I really thought England would get to 300. Then Freddy goes, and we have a procession.

Was it really good bowling or some not-so-good batting as well?

Well, yesterday I said setting a target of 282 was enough for England to win. Today's target: 281. Can't say I feel quite as confident today! However, the comments on the radio this afternoon have generally been complimentary of improved West Indian bowling, and their fielding has sounded a bit tighter as well. If England have improved overnight in these areas as much as the West Indies have, England could take it this time. I need to dash now to break that dinner date!
