St Lucia Met Service forecast (quoted in full): "Apart from a few showers it should be mainly fair." Well, they're concise, you have to give them that! Hopefully we should be in for another great game, and let's hope they're wrong about the showers.

Good news.

England must pick a frontline spinner this time round. I'd say Giles or Batty in for Blackwell. This means moving Read up the order, of course.

Any other thoughts?

It might also be quite nice if Michael Vaughan could win the toss! Then we can have the Windies bat first and know what we're up against.

Dear Notts Fan,

As you seem to have some influence with Chris Read, please ask him very nicely not to get involved in any more runouts. Rikki Clarke in the first game as England were losing momentum at the end and then in the 5th, Marcus Tescothick (which arguably lost England the game as it caused a massive loss of momentum). Any more might be seen as developing nasty and expensive habits.

Thanks very much!

Signed,

A convert to Chris Read's cause.

Clive: Blackwell to be dropped off the side of a boat, preferably in shark-infested waters! :-) Go for Batty against the left-handers. Giles will be a negative selection at best and falls apart when attacked.

No No NO ,lets get the runs on the board, say we put Windies in and they got 290-300,what pressure our batsmen would be under.Used to be it was an advantage to back 2nd,know what you had to get and all that, but teams seem to get bigger scores now.
let lara win toss, onus on him then.that way you dont get egg on you face.

Well, Lara won the toss again, and England will bat first.
