Yeah he's a giant of a man. I didn't even know this was on it last - I just chanced upon it on Sky. What was quite amusing though was Willis and Lloyd commentating - from Antigua to Chelmsford....bit of a come down?

Heh. Yeh! Still, they looked nice and tanned, and let's face it - they had a damned easy day of it. So anyway, according to the laws of WAT, are we not meant to be arguing by now? I think I might have to migrate back to t'other side before I get all cocky.

Kezza, WAT is Mike's baby and so understandably if it grows up and turns to drink and drugs and prosetution, as a proud father he'll feel a bit miffed. Interpretation of things is difficult on a MB, and understandably Mike want's this board to be a nice place to visit. We won't always agree on everything, but hopefully we can have discussions that are meaningfull without giving in to tunnel vision or rage. Remember an argument on a MB is rather like an argument in a restaraunt, public and embarrassing, and everybody in the restaurant (or mb) has an opinion about who's wrong or right.(wrongly or rightly people take sides, it's human nature) I'm not saying don't discuss, yes do thats the whole point; But if one looses one's temper, one may also loose one's argument. It is Mike's board, think of it as his 'house' ; he's given you an open invitation to visit , so try not to misuse it.

Hello RWS. I think I see what you're saying. However, I am not here to win arguments (ref: your "lose temper/lose argument" point) ... unless my subconscious is here for that purpose. I believe that if I was here for any other reason than for sheer entertainment value (= usually high in my book), and if I wanted to take place in daily debate, then I would want to put my point across because I believed in it, not because I thought I'd win an argument. I accept that I may not 'win' this particular argument against you, as you're such a high profile poster with proper views - heck, I might even be removed from the board - but that is for others to decide. I maintain the belief that I have not been provocative, hateful nor sexually-orientated (well, not since last night anyway). Lots of love, Kezza

Bahhhh! Keep it simple - I'm enjoying it here too much! I couldn't agree more. Not too much moderation, we're not a nanny state! If two people cross the line in a slanging match it'll be modded by the people the run this site (the site who's rules we all agreed to). If someone is getting heavy with you, or you believe that they are giving you an unfair hearing of your opinions and it's not picked up by the mods - send that person a private message and have it out with them somewhere else and not on the open threads. Far too many comments about how bad the BBCc board was - and from those of us who have used it. Surely we can make sure between us (and with a little help from Admin) that we don't descend to that level here?

Ello Teatime Fat Cat (btw I loooved the synopsis of the origin of your name) Yeh your point re: slagging of the TMS board - agreed. In particular for me, the slating of various TMS members by people here who have "agreed to the site's rules" is unnecessary and ridiculously contradictory.

RMJ (apols for lack of concentration) ... Yeh I can identify with you when you say you were hoping to put a point across and then listen to other people's view points. The prob with a thread like this is that it has nothing to do with cricket, and all to do with winding people up - whether that's unintentional or not (irrelevant - there has already been some messaging in a wound-up stylee). When we all start talking about "how to chill the board out" then what should we expect? A lively but polite debate? To me that's like going to a gardener's question time and saying "Right, f*** this gardening cr*p, let's talk about abortion" - it's gonna cause issues. Anyway, so any cricket happening today?
