| Vaughan's record as one-day captain: Played 15, won 9, lost six. All nine wins were made chasing scores, and all six losses were batting first! Will he keep his record chasing a score? 33 runs off the last two overs! |

| Evening, Kirsty! Yes, but I hope Tres doesn't leave too much for the rest of the batsmen to do. |
| | ||||
| ||||
| WOTB Well, Tres being Tres he isn't going to bat right to the end, is he! Let Freddie come in with 20 needed! |
| | ||||
| ||||
| Tresco stumped by Jacobs, good piece of work. Rikki Clarke is the next man in? :?: |
| | ||||
| ||||
| Rikki Clarke? My god... what is the world coming to when Clarkey comes in at number 4! |
| | ||||
| ||||
| Well, there goes Rikki - I didn't need a crystal ball to predict that was going to happen!!! Oh well, here comes Mr Flintoff...time for some fun, I hope!!! |
| | ||||
| ||||
| Rikki you are a bleedin' thickie (with apologies to the late Ian Dury). |
| | ||||
| ||||
| WOTB - LOL!!! I'm sure Ian Durey wouldn't have objected to it!!! What was going on in the England dressing room when Tres got out - where half the side on the bog or what? |

| For those who didn't see Clarke's wicket he had a very side-on stance and got cramped for room to hit the ball off his hip. Got a top edge and popped it up to the fielder at mid-wicket? or forward of square-leg. If he had a more open stance he could have pulled that ball with some power. Obviously, promoting Clarke to 4 was an experiment which shows that Fletcher sees him as a future prospect in the one-day setup. Trescothick should collect the MoM award if England win this. Without much footwork he is more suited to the one-day game where the ball has to be bowled close to the stumps. He is more vulnerable in Test matches where he has to chase the ball wide outside off-stump. |
