Well the West Indies are now getting desperate to contain these two batsman and dry up the runs to the extent they're now even trying Chanderpaul from one end!

As long as they tick over at a run a ball, and excepting any major batting collapses England should win this one!

The idea of moving Clarke up the order was to give him a chance to bat normally without the pressure of having to slog. Only needing to prod ones and twos, he completely blew his chance.

But Collingwood and Strauss are playing very well. Only 58 needed now.

I don't think Clarke looked comfortable from the moment he stepped out to bat....it was a bad idea, IMO - he isn't confident enough batsmen to bat up at number 4!

I think Strauss emerges from the (mini)one day series with some credit - he's played well overall, and looks likely to be in the test side by this time next year..

You have to say though, in this series Strauss has got himself out at awkward times when he should have seen it through.

It looks like Read & Collingwood are going to see us home. The end of the most successfull tour of the Carribean ever - Tests 3-0 to England, ODI's 2-2. Well played guys, you deserve a good rest....

....but the first test v the Kiwis starts next week! Absolutely crazy!

He has still done a lot better than Solanki and is a lot better than, say, Collingwood was when he first came onto the scene. For someone playing his first few international matches, he has done very well.

Flintoff at 5, Collingwood at 6 and Read at 7 looks pretty good. Not sure why they are experimenting with Clarke at 4? Surely, Pieterson would be a good choice there when he comes into the one-day setup. Vaughan is improving so he is likely to stay as an opener. All in all, the future is looking good. We should have a competitive side come the WC in 2007.
