No, I still maintain that the right decision is the most important aspect, and still advocate the use of technology to ensure those decisions are the correct ones - my stance on that has not changed. Umpire Hair made a poor decision - he did get an inside edge which was almost the same instance of when Jones was out in the Carribean - he got an inside edge as well. But until technology is adopted - we will continue to get these kind of decisions made - there's nothing I can do to change that, but just accept them.
The reason I was not unhappy at Richardson being given out, was because the guy had lived a charmed life, popping catches just out of reach of fielders, wafting at balls outside off stump and not getting a nick, nicking balls through gaps in the slip cordon, getting LBW decisions going for him one after another - that kind of luck will get you so far and sooner or later it will run out - which it did with the poor decision from Umpire Hair. Sometimes decisions go for you - sometimes they don't - his luck just ran out with that decision, which is why I wasn't unhappy to see the back him.
Scott
