Thumbs up Excellent Test Match

Day 1 to NZ.
Day 2 to England.
Day 3 to NZ.
Day 4 to England (if they get NZ all out!)

Almost 1200 runs and 29 wickets.

All three results possible going into the last day . . top stuff!

Yes today has been very interesting. It's been a few months since England last had a dull match. I could get used to this all of the time.

Dose not sound much of a score to get at 3 an over, hard to believe but if England where to get it ,it would be the 4th highest 2nd innings total ever to win a Test Match in England.History is agaisnt us.

Yea good stuff

Smile England to win by 4 wickets

Fair point Ernest! But, England lost all ten wickets for less than we need tomorrow (admittedly after a superb opening stand, in which Trecothick's contribution has been undervalued) in the first innings. The bookies have England strong favorites at 8/11 but you could have got 15/2 when NZ were 287/5 earlier in the afternoon!!

I was fearfull before the match that Jones was short of form, and I proposed Anderson to replace him, but he has been England 2nd best bowler (to Greivous natrually). Thank god I'm not a selector (although in my defence I did want Strauss to debut at home).

It would seem that as long as we score faster than Richardson we'll get home, with GO Jones scoring some of the runs he owes after dropping their rabbit and nutmeging himself aginst Giles for umpteen byes.

Never a dull moment (unless you prefer limited overs fare).

Its going to be just like a one dayer tomorrow, there is a difference though the pitch,a ODI run chace is on a pitch only one day old.

Hmmm Anderson should replace Hoggard unless conditions are right.

Dang!

Dang Dang Dang !

Why do people have to have birthdays and throw lunch parties on the 4th day of an England Test Match? It's most inconsiderate of them in my mind!

As such, I've pretty much missed the whole days play, although I've seen bits here and there, and heard some Radio commentary on TMS, with Blowers and the boys twatting around reading out stupid limericks argh!

So whats the verdict? Good, bad, worse? Can they do it? Should they try? Glad to see Gilo getting a few wickets - I thought he would on the 4th or 5th day of this game. I'm going to sit back and relax and watch all the days highlights on Sky at 10pm.

Good day for Giles ( happy days!!!), Husssain (great fielding!),Harmy (eventually) and S Jones, )
Bad day for Tres (rather tame captaincy, rather defensive at times and too happy to let things drift),
Worse for G Jones (whoops, butterfingers!)

It was a strange day, Scott - things seemed to drift along with not much happening, and then there would be a flurry of excitment then back to the drifting along!! Still, inspite of a couple of hick-up's England would be pretty pleased with how it went.

It should be a cracking day tomorrow, no mistake!!!

Sober I trust, well you missed some good stuff today.

At the end New Zealand had 9 wickets down, and numbers 10 and 11 are real rabbits, but the Drama harason had taken 4 wickets,Jones dropped aneasy on of him, there's a thread on that WOTB I think, then Jones bowled I think it was Tuffey with a no ball, ther brought Freddy on,middle stump gone.

That drop cost twenty odd runs, the significence is

For England to win they have to score the 4th ever last innings total by anyone in England,Good Stuff.

enjoy your highlights

I did actually see that happen, Jones put down a catch and then in the next over the other Jones bowled him on a no ball - Hussains face said it all!

I can't see them doing it to be honest - I think it will be a draw, I can't see the Kiwi's bowling England out either.
