Butcher should be sent back to Surrey with a flea in his ear, to re-discover his form. [quote]

To be fair to Butcher, he has really only had one bad game. He did look out of touch at Lord's, but lets not go off the deep end.

My only concern with Butcher is that lately he seems not able to convert 40's and 50's into century's.

Still, given that this time last week, the general view in the media seemed to be for Hussain to go (either now or by the end of the summer), it's a real turn around to see the pressure being put on Butcher!

Thats because people in Britain have to have their daggers in somebody, they are not happy with a winning side they have to try and dismantle the team to make it crap again or they would have nothing to whing and moan about.

I agree - the british media are a strange breed!!!

Hussain is suddenly front page news on half the newspapers! After getting nothing but stick about being too old and not good enough anymore (which is wierd, cause he didn't do too badly in the WI!!!). One good innings and a very poigient, honest statement and they all love him - even Bothem!!!

I'm pleased for Nass, though - it's about time he got some credit for his years of hard work!
