In New zealand he once took I think it was 2 wickets for 9 runs,in a one day international. |

Poor Alan Wells one innings , out to Curtley Ambrose and never given another chance. Cruel stuff. Some more candidates I dredged up. Mark Ilott, Les Taylor John Taylor and Arnie Sidebottom.Arnie deserves a special mention he played half a test took a wicket got injured and IIRC retired from the game. Also I thought he played in the 1991 Headingley Test where Steve Watkin played so well. It's a long time ago I'll have to check Wisden. - |

batting average of 23.61. I am going to re check his stats impressive stuff. He is still the worst player though ,his Test stats are appauling, and over a long period. I saw Pringle a lot,why he did not succeed,he was a plodder,he was awful to watch, one paced, predictable.he would soon be out. Ernest |
