Yes,it should be form and I'm listening to radio 4 LW by satellite, and Jeremy is talking complete sense, why is the test sied so good but the ODI side useless.

There is no logic when it comes to how they select the team. Some stay for longer than they should, some don't stay quite as long!
Even the New Zealand commentator is mentioning in a bewildered tone, that McGrath and Blackwell have no historical form for England at all (correction: Blackwell played one significant innings in Australia in one of his first ODIs).

On the plus side, E.Xtras is doing really well on his debut, almost the top scorer in the innings, lets hope he gets fast tracked into the test side on the back of his performances here

Last year, Jenko, old boy, I was saying that England were probably only one or two players away from having a very good side. Here's the proof. You take away one or two players from the Test team and we return to the England side of Sri Lanka or the last Ashes series. QED. (Btw, young Rachael ridiculed that opinion. Wonder what she would say now with this evidence)

[Ps: Should have added that this side looks remarkably like the one destroyed by South Africa in the first two Tests last summer.]

well if vaughn trescothic and strauss and jones fire we'd do ok. Anderson and Harminson could top score here.
89/9

Victor, I'm surprised at you. E.Xtras, has played more ODIs that any other player. And whatever he's got now is well short of his record, which I think he probably made in a game v. West Indies. Probably a lot more than England's combined total at this point.

Harminson will soon open the batting on this form. Career best at the moment. Can he score 25 precious runs?

E.xtras also plays tests, and has had a very long career.

Richard. Perhaps if everyone batted in the right positions they'd be a bit better off.

Vaughan has been woefully out of form since he took the captaincy. (Yes "woeful" again and yes that long.)
He should not open.

Strauss seemed to be doing fine in the Tests opening...why can't he do it in the short game. "Got to make best use of the first 15 overs." Well you're not going to do that by losing six wickets.

Jones is a good hitter, when the bowler's are tired.

So number three, in in the third over is the obvious place for him. Should smack that new ball everywhere.
How many did he get?
