Yes I can remember these players, they have been the shining lights of English cricket for just over half a decade.but this is my point, except for Fowler, who never was an established England player, all the others where never in fear of there places.

And with respect to Tresco and others, they could not be compared with Boycott or Gooch.

Bad shot selection,I think Pete is right on this one.

Pundits on C4 reckon it is the back to back Tests to blame, citing the players who did not spend much time at the crease at Lords, have scored the most today.

The closest I ever came to a menage-a-trois was when I dated a schizophrenic

Tresco admitted in an interview after the match that he was disappointed not to have gone on and made a big score. Blamed a temporary loss of concentration. He didn't want to blame the short break between matches although the preparation wasn't ideal.

As far as Simon Jones is concerned, he wasn't selected to play for Glamorgan today so not sure why. Could be lack of form since coming back from injury.

Well he got 100,but the centurions at Lords did not,so as far as preperation is concerned,it would seem Strauss and key, where feeling the the effects of the back to back Test's most,Trescothick did not spend as much time at the crease as did Strauss and Key at Lords,so he would not feel the strain as much.

Simon Jones looked terrible at Lords,I think it will be some time before he is back.

They rushed him back abit too quickly. I think that Antigua game was one too many at that time, admitidly he did well at Lords against NZ, but they should have left him out of this series to get proper fitness back.
