What a catch!! What a catch!!

Thorpey! Looked slightly dodgy to me though. A.D thought Thorpe got his fingers under there just, but if Rudolph stayed around I reckon he'd have got the benefit of the doubt.

It was out Pete, I aplaud the man , back in the game, there seems to be a bit in that pitch, well there was some grass.

They will have to pepper kallis with short ball in the morn, he likes to drive , and play on the front foot.

Pity that all our specialist batsmen failed, looks like something of around 200-250 could have been a decent enough score. If they don't get more of a lead than 50 and we can put together a decent second innings score, might be abit dodgy for the South Africans batting last.

Seems to be very difficult to judge the bounce on the pitch, the English batsmen were just getting hit with the ball, not even seeing it sometimes.

They aren't out of it yet, especially as the Saffers have to bat last.

iv never seen vaughan struggle so much against short bowling --------- ever!

there must be sumit in the wicket that will encourage us, unforutately or fortunatly, i was waorkin today and only got to see thorpe, vaughan and fred go. i jus think (hope) we will bowl well and fire them out then the batting will come good in the second

im more confident of us doing that nowadays as opossed to a couple year ago

England have clung on well. I was dissapointed by the English bottom order Batting though.

Was anybody else on the floor in agony with laughter after the Vaughen/Pollock thing?

England have continued to battle on today, and have brought SA to 6 wickets down, and they still trail by 20 odd runs. Kallis though is still not out, and well set on 42, his wicket is going to be crucial here on feels. One to Harmy, Freddie and Jonesey this morning.

Poor bowling has let SA get a big enough lead. I think i'll save myself from frustration and not watch England's second innings

Could i please get a bit of background on this Amla guy. Apparently he is supposed to be SA's first black captain(seeing he is Indian that is hard) but to be honest i haven't heard a thing. Or is this the Zimbabwe approach...if a black player shows a little promise, he's in the national team??
