Dont forget ff, England should have been touring Zimbabwe, and as you know it was cancelled, would have been different, had the ECB, arranged some sort of mini tour some place else, it could have been done, these England guys, have not played proper cricket since last August, and they are still one up, probably go even, with all to play for, like Oliver says, lets see how England handle defeat after so long unbeaten.

It's no tragedy, yet,

That's uncharacteristically downbeat of you, Ern. Here I am, trying my best to keep the hope of a draw alive, and you're joining in with the "how will they handle defeat" crowd! Come on! One bridge at a time. There's a match to salvage here. Worry about the post match issues afterwards.

No OF I think you misunderstand my motives, I am not downbeat, and yes we could get a draw, while Thorpe is there, whatever happens, I am nothing but upbeat about the team, my attitude has not changed one iota.

Thanks for the wake up call OF

Count me in as well O, I just love optimism - I have hope, England might still, if Thorpey, Gones, and His Royal Highness, the King of Spain (England's great new "all rounder" ) play well tomorrow. Hopefully Hoggard won't be even needed.

On a side note though, Thorpe was lucky to given not out on the first ball of Smith's over - hawk eye reckoned it was plumb - why the hell is Thorpe struggling against Jonny Bravo when he played Murali so well?
