Get Gibbs soon and the follow on is a definite possibility. South Africa tail a bit suspect if you ask me. Still laughing over the Smith dissmisal - good to see him brought to his knees (literally) hehe

hehe...

Your right.. But its a positive sign because we've really struggled to get him out so far this test. The only time i've seen is when he was run-out not actually bowled out. I hope SA have a collapse now hes gone

The collapse has started with Dippenar out for a duck!! M E Trescothick gets another catch... Good work England. De Villers and Gibbs can cause trouble but the rest won't cause too much trouble.

I never understood South Africans who think Dippenear is good. I think the future of S.A. middle order does not lie with him.
I was disappointed with his century in the first test because it would solidfy his place for the next few test. Its time for the selectors to move on.
As to the lower middle order I think it isn't that vunerable it looks like well need them today.

Herschel the pots on the fire we'll save your share stay out there.

Herschelle Gibbs

John - earlier on you called him the bad boy of SA cricket. I've seen him play a couple of times and he is great to watch. What's the bad boy comment all about though? I know nothing of that.

He smoked dope while on a cricket tour to the West Indies and didn't he go out clubbing the night before a ODI match in Australia??

bad boy

Well he was kicked out of the side in betting scandal. He served a ban about 9 months. He recently didn't go on the India for fear of being arrested by the Indian police over the betting scandal.
He has been caught smoking illegal substances on tour. Again he was fined.
Thats it . I am sure there is proably more but thats about it.

Pretty bad stuff, that!

Back to business: did Tresco really take the catch that sent Dippenaar back? Web reports have it as "very marginal" and the crowd apparently didn't like it much. What is the verdict of the impartial observers here?

Bob Willis and Allan Donald seem to think it was fine. He did look like he had his fingers underneath the ball.
