Well, what a wonderful morning - NOT!! I think I'll push off to the kitchen now and spend a couple of hours or so putting some lunch together.

Yes, Moss, he did. Expensive though - 34-2-144-5.

I'm glad. He's consistently hard working and deserves some reward.
I'd like it if he continued to live in the shadow of Harmison and Flintoff - he seems to prefer it that way, being out of the limelight.

Lunch, Day 4

hmm...definitely not England's morning, still a run behind SA at lunch and have lost the main batsman. Vaughan and Thorpe really need to come to the party now, the conditions must be good if Boje and Ntini can prove immovable this morning, so England's top order really should have score big. As things stand, all four results are possible in this game, which I guess is quite good from a neutral's perspective.

All four are possible, but only two are likely, I fear. Ladbrokes currently offer 3/1 against South Africa, 12/1 against England, 4/1 ON the draw. I assume that they treat a tie and a draw as the same thing for the purposes of setting odds, which hardly seems fair to me!

hmm, I too feel that a draw is still the most likely outcome, and England will have to bat quite pigheadedly to justify Ladbroke's relatively generous odds on a SA victory.

Trescothick and Vaughan are making some nice runs here.... If we get a nice partnership we could easily be back in too win... Even Shaun Polluck is being thrown all over the park.

32 from 36 deliveries - Tresco
16 from 10 deliveries - Vaughan

Its going good...

Well, Tresco, the bookies agree with you. Ladbrokes are now only offering 5/1 against England. Did you take it at twelves? Some would say in a two horse race everyone should take that!

Well! What an afternoon session. Is Vaughan still playing for a win here? Certainly piling on the runs, and with 39 overs still to go after tea there could be many more to come.
