Thanks for the photos ff. Vaughan's buttocks look very toned in picture 4.

Well, there was no cricket to comment on so what could I say?!

Anyway, it was a shame the whole day was called off for rain!

next 4 days look promising. 30% chance for showers. that usually means lots of dry spells with occasional rain. i just hope the weather man has got it right! and that the light will not be too much of a problem. by sunday/monday according to the forcast the rainy weather should be gone.

Plus it was hardly an atrocious decison - the replay showed it was correct! Even though spinners would not often get those decision's go there way, Gibbs WAS still (just) out!! I think spinners generally get a very poor deal on the LBW front, personally.

Unhappy

We have play, Vaughan has won an important toss, inserted the saffers, and sky has gone off before the first ball is bowled...

Argh

Unhappy Two drops off Harmison

Steve is having no luck this morning. Those two drops could prove crucial, confidence wise, he needed those to be taken.

Freddie is playing, as to SP Jones.

Good chance for Poms to go 3-1 up as Saffers will be playing to win.

Positives from this tour:
  • Andrew Strauss' continuation of brilliant batting form.
  • Marcus Trescothick's return to form
  • Matthew Hoggard's brilliant bowling.
Negatives from this tour:
  • Stephen Harmison-- no more has to be said
  • Michael Vaughan, although he made two half centuries has failed in the past.
  • Andrew Flintoff went backwards on a great year with both bat and ball.
You can also say you should've been 3-1 up looking to go 4-1 up if not for the light on Boxing Day Test.
