Vaughan Confinent Of Beating Australia!,>

It has been said that Michael Vaughan is not confident of beating Australia this year, well this is not so, he is just being realistic.

So we have matched Australia, that says a lot, what they can do, so can England!

So this is not being under confident, just stating facts, but Australia will have to play out of their skins to beat England.

So does anyone think Vaughan is running scared of Australia?,I would think he was just being sensible, we have to play at our best, to beat the best, no matter how old they are.

If we play at our best, and they dont, we'll win. If the likes of vaughan and harmo continue in there current vain of form, we're sunk. We're also assuming freddie will bounce back after his op like the bionic man, when he's just as likely to waddle into the team after feeding his face with choclate hobnobs while wacthing Trisha while his leg is in plaster.
The top 6 will have to less keen on giving their wickets away

They beat a team that had players like Gary Kirsten and Allan Donald. We had to get past Boeta Dippenaar and Dale Steyn.

True Pete, but England drew with them, before we had this settled team, hard to draw conclusions, we don't know just how good the new South Africa is, they don't seem a bad side to me.

Ernie,

Your optimism, or confidence as you would say, might seem annoying to a lot of people, but it continues to intrigue and fascinate me like very few other things, can you lend me some of it please We're 2-1 down vs. Chelsea in the Carling Cup Semi Final Second Leg, and have ZERO [non what so ever] strike bowlers that are fit enough to take their places for us in Aus for the VB Series..., I'll have to borrow some of your sanguinity quite urgently

You must be messing with me Ern???

England have matched Australia? What because they won a series away? Come on now? When you have won a series against every team in the world in their own country then you can say you've matched us... So far you've done 3 (WI, SA and Zimbabwe). When you hold the world record for consecutive wins, you can say you've matched us.

Ern you'd make a fantastic MP... Always putting the positive spin on. No... It's the other way round, Vaughen is saying that England are going to have to play out of their skins to beat us.

Beny...

I think after the Ashes we can have our revenge on Ern if you like...

Australia are gonna win!!! England may look good, but you are only one Freddie Flintoff ankle twist or Steve Harmison calf tear to get back to reality. Yes Ern, Vaughan said England are going to have to play out of their skins to beat Australia. Not Australia.

Perish the thought Beny , Vaughans comments were open to interpitation, as were Smiths when he said England were "probably"the better team.
I think he lowered his voice when he said "probably"
