I see jimmy's taken his test form with him. Send him back to lancs so he can sort himself out, cause he's good for sod all at the moment.

I feel sorry for him, he has undoubted potential but basically no cricket for a year isnt the way to develop anybody. It is one of the few mistakes the England management have made over the last year and a half.

SA 1 down, gough's wide one get a wicket

Somewhat worryingly, Duncan Fletcher doesn't see it as a mistake and, according to David Hopps in The Guardian this morning, "does not see any reason to change his policy [on Anderson]". I think this is just madness. Send Anderson back to Lancashire to re-learn his craft, then select him again if he's good enough (not for The Ashes: there's no time for that) and let the bloke play.

Surely not, i've seen the scorecard and thats what it says, why would you have jones in the team and not keep wicket!?! Unless the plans to let Tresco keep in the one dayers and try and balence the side that way. But Jones form in the one dayers was good in Zimbabwe, i really dont understand.

Not a bad idea. Can play an extra batsman if we're not going to bother with a keeper (though some may argue we've been doing that all winter !!!)

I know!!

Seriously though, if England are to use Tresco in the same way as India have done Dravid is there a reason for Jones to play ? He wouldn't get into that team as a batsman alone.
