| I have the line up as it is because of the way both Collingwood and Pieterson play, not due to relative ability. Collingwood has shown that he has the ability in the case of early wickets falling to dig in and shore up the innings. If the first 2 or three don't collapse in the first 10 or 15 I would bring in Flintoff, Pieterson, and Jones up the order and hold Collingwood back. I would want Collingwood in the team as much because he can do either score quickly and improvise towards the end of a ODI or hang on and grind if things are going badly early on. Given a good base to attack from Flintoff,Pieterson and Jones are enough to give most opposition captains nightmares. |

| Strangely enough I would want 3,4,5 as Bell,Vaughan,Collingwood as a core to build the innings around and give Pieterson,Flintoff and Jones a base to explode from. 100 for 3 (on a poorish day) in the twentish over with Pieterson, Flintoff and Jones to come...? | Got to have collingwood near the end. Thats what i think went wrong with blackwell, half the time he was coming in the middle of a collapse or he had about 6 overs to try and make something happen and often gave his wicket away. Collingwood very very rarely dors that which is why he's vital. On the indian subcontintent I'd open with freddie though.
