I'm still fuming about the breaking up of the Tres/Strauss partnership. Strauss at 4 just doesn't work. At all.
Ignoring Geraint Jones for now, please can't Strauss and Trescothick go back to opening?

Now have two players from my fantasy side in, and I am wondering if I should be looking for another quick wicket or a big stand from these two .

SA running at almost exactly the same run rate as England were at this stage, and with the same number of wickets lost. Which, in a ODI, is too fast. We must take some wickets rapidly if England are going to win this.

Kallis and Gibbs showing at the moment all their experience. This is why SA should treat these players with care. They are going to need them for the next couple of years which could be difficult for SA cricket.
Australia needed Allan Border to bridge the era and keep things from falling apart. We need these Kallis and Gibbs to stick round not just in this match but for 3/4 years.

They are doing a very good job, to the point I fear england may well lose this one, and I'll continue to think that unless we winkle both of them out.

We're doomed ! DOOOOOOOOOMMMMMEDDDDD !!!!!!!!!!!!
