Big gaps between the dot balls now! Come on guys, tighten it up! Fourteen from Hoggard's last over, and six in the preceding five balls.

Cricinfo horribly slow to refelct the change of bowler. I really thought they were leaving Hoggard on when Gough had two left to bowl!

Jones and Trescothick, both missing allowing Smith to get 100, missing easy chances.

Well, well done to South Africa.

Not having looked at the figures in detail, instinct says that the Jennings Ice Bath Prize tonight goes to Matthew Hoggard, who sent down a 15 run over midway through the innings and another 14 run over three or four from the end, just when we ddin't need it. Goughie, in the over when he took Boucher's wicket, also conceded ten. The last four overs and one ball cost England 41 runs for one wicket. Not a good day for the England bowlers overall, I guess.

On the positive side, Graeme Smith looks as though he played a blinder, and he must be MOTM. Well done to him!

1-1 in the series with four to go. Next game on Sunday in Cape Town, a daytime match and therefore presumably under way at about 0830GMT. (If anyone can confirm that timing, I'd be grateful.)
