Thats what I thought ! having said that the bonding thing, and keeping vaughan as skipper to judge dressing room thing are pretty good ideas home or away.

Chester-le-Street is like a different country if you come from South of Coventry though! Still, should be difficult for Harmo to get home sick there!!!

I guess the selectors are just going to have to pick from Butcher, Bell, Key and pietersen and hope it works!

I think we should play our strongest possible team and give the respect test matches and Bangladesh deserve.
We shouldn't be in the buisness of handing out test caps like confetti to which we use to do in the mid 90s. Now we have a settled team and I would like to think that we will play the team(Freddie apart) that will play against the Aussies come July so that they can get some valuable test match practise.

My team- Trescothick Strauss Bell Vaughan Thorpe Pieterson G.Jones Giles Hoggard S.Jones Harmison

The whoever impresses most out of Bell and Pieterson will get the final starting position for the Ashes and if Harmison continues with his mini yips then we can bring in another fast bowler for him....probably the bowler in form in county cricket.

I agree we should put out a strong team, but wouldn't be against resting the odd player from at least one of the games, and also giving one or two fringe players a go.

At the end of the day, England have to use this series as a warm-up for the Ashes - no getting away from it, casue that is what it is. But if England don't approach the game in a serious, respectful way, they could have a few embarressing moments along the way.

With Milo. I would play the best XI players and get them all nicely into form against the very poor bangladeshies. You can try expirementing after the Ashes.

As it is there are still six players that I would want to get playing, as I feel there are still big question marks

Jones, Jones, Anderson, Bell, Key and Pietersen....

The only player I wouldn't play is an barely-fit Flintoff

My Team

Tresco
Strauss
Vaughan (Cpt)
Bell
Thorpe
Pietersen
Jones, G (Wck)
Giles
Jones, S
Hoggard
Harmison

At the moment I couldnt name half of them either. Wasnt that long ago that derbyshire provided most of englands seamers.....Dev Malcom, Phile Defraitas, Cork, Harris was in the frame at one point too Adams with the bat before he went to Sussex...aahhh the memories. Now its a joke.

Derby is ine of the worst Kolpak offenders, and has sacrificed a long term strategy of player development, for short term gain. I would be happy to see them contiune to fail until they start developing their own talent.
