However, we have had to pay for it...But this quote confuses me..

The figure is in line with International Cricket Council guidelines for compensation between countries, at US$125,000 per Test.

I am sure before the series we were told that pulling out would "Bankrupt" the ECB, with additional fines and possible suspension....

But here we are told that by paying $125,000 per Test you can happily pull out of the series, a figure that according to Morgan "was Budgeted for" why were told that pulling out of the Zim tour would bankrupt the ECB!!
