So will he get his 500 wickets against England this summer?.
And if so who's?.

lets see. Trescothick bowled McGrath 246, yep that could be the one.
Or Harmison caught on the boundry 54 bowled McGrath.

Who do you think McGraths 500th wicket will be?.

You must now be starting to worry Ernest. He'll have it by lunch on the first day on the first test if he's bowling - and will have passed Walsh's fast bowling record by the end of play at the Oval. He is now bowling as good as he has ever done.

No chance of him announcing his retirement now the NZ series is over, I suppose?

We'll see about that one!

What's happened to New Zealand ? Apart from having to put out their second eleven - which would cause the Aussies trouble too!

I'm gonna say strauss. Honeymoon must end at some point, and Mcgrath has ended more englnad openers dreams than anyone else.

Judging from previous Ashes series, Trescothick will break a thumb in the Bangladesh test (whilst passing 200) and Strauss will pull a hamstring chasing an edge down to third man from 2nd slip.

England will open up with Butcher and Vaughan at Lords and Vaughan will be back in the hutch third ball on the first morning.

You do realise Milo that if this happens you may well be tried as a witch/warlock, and as a result thrown in a nearby river/lak/pond to see if you are ???

Has a earily familer ring to it though.

Over number 2.1 McGrath to Strauss. Here comes McGrath from Nursery end starting his 2nd over of the match.... And that's a beauty... Angling across Strauss across the slope.. Strauss tries to defend it... gets an outside edge and Shane Warne at first slip makes no mistake.. That's wicket number 500 for McGrath and what a start for him to the Ashes.

Aplaus all over as McGrath shows the ball to the knowledgeable sold out Lords crowd.
