England players progress in County Cricket

So the county season is starting...

I think we should all post up the stats and our views on how each of the England internationals are playing in the build up to the Ashes and Bangladesh... See which players are showing their full potential and who aren't up to the job or having a bad run....

These are all the England players and their respective counties:

Michael Vaughan (Yorkshire)

James Anderson (Lancashire)

Ashley Giles (Warwickshire)

Stephen Harmison (Durham)

Matthew Hoggard (Yorkshire)

Geraint Jones (Kent)

Simon Jones (Glamorgan)

Andrew Strauss (Middlesex)

Marcus Trescothick (Somerset)

Graham Thorpe (Surrey)

Mark Butcher (Surrey)

Andrew Flintoff (Lancashire)

Kevin Pietersen (Hampshire)

Paul Collingwood (Durham)

Vikram Solanki (Worcestershire)

and any other players that you wish... I will keep it updated as possible and if others can help that will be brilliant...

The 13th April

Counties involving England players in action today:

Hampshire vs. Gloucestershire - Kevin Pietersen

Surrey vs. Sussex - Graham Thorpe and Mark Butcher

Warwickshire vs. Glamorgan - Ashley Giles and Simon Jones

Essex vs. Yorkshire - Micheal Vaughan and Matthew Hoggard

Lancashire vs. Somerset - James Anderson and Marcus Trescothick

Leicestershire vs. Durham - Steve Harmison and Paul Collingwood

I hope to see these players get off to a good start in particulur Kevin Pietersen, Micheal Vaughan and Trescothick on the bat.. Also to see James Anderson pick up some confidence with some wickets and Giles to prove his critics further wrong..

What do you lot hope??

Updates through-out the day by me

I'm fed up because I was hoping to go to the Surrey game today, but I've lost a bunch of work off a computer disc and I've now got to spend the day typing it all up again

I'm hoping that BBC Surrey are still doing their on-line commentary of the game.

You can add Steve Harmison for Durham vs Leicester (Also Paul Collingwood for ODI's at the least)

I know that neither Prior nor Cook are likely to make the England 1st XI this year but I would like to keep a close eye on those two.
One more who should be on the list for this year though is Bell.

So far then... Not very eventful but:

In Warwickshire v Glamorgan, 162/4 (48.5 ov)

Giles has claimed his two wickets already!! and Bell is bowling a tight session so far:

A F Giles 10 / 0 / 30 /2
I R Bell 8.0 / 3 / 18 / 0

In Essex v Warwickshire

Hoggard isn't giving much away at all with figures of:

M J Hoggard 11.0/ 4/ 19 / 0

In Durham vs Leicestershire

Collingwood has made a slow but sure start with the bat, 17 runs of 51 balls:

P D Collingwood - not out 17 / 51 / 2 / 0

So.. not much to report on as far as the English internationals go, so far but we'll see.
