If Tresco is now unable to tour again (which looks to be final) then his England career is over. Every Test nation needs as settled an opening partnership as possible. This rationale will also apply to Harmison, if the selectors don't feel he can tour again they won't select him, full stop.

Yes Harmison should never play Test cricket again and if Trescothick can't play all Tests then he shouldn't play either,

I agree he wont play for England again and it's a real shame. The punchy aggression of Trescothick and the elegance of Cook would of worked brilliantly.
