C & G Trophy and National League

Is the C & G a knockout tournament??

Also, use this thread to discuss the C & G Trophy and National League in future.

Yup, it's a 50 over a side comp.

Early performers are :-

Kent, absolutley flying and GO Jones is 61* off 65 balls
Steady Freddy has managed 1-11 of 4 overs for Lancs
Little Ian Bell has scored 32* off 35 balls for Warks

Yep, GO Jones has done very well... Ending up with 70, something for us Jones likers fans to argue with.. We haven't had much evidence to recently but that helped... Key was slow but got a respectable score; Certainly not an ODI player for England by any means

GO Jones scored 70 from 75 balls today against Derbyshire - the worst county in the country. This will justify his selection for England for the next few seasons.

Yes, I was just going to mention them. Have you seen their chasing score? 31 for 5 off 15 overs, with not a single batsman in double figures! That really is very poor!

Thorpe's just been dismissed for thirteen - a horrible swipe at a slow ball which ended up in mid-off's hands. He looks as far away from being a class-batsman as is possible.

Achh! The man's an idiot - I've never rated him! Sling him out of the team.

He needs to play well if we're to do ok against the Aussies, no doubt. I just hope he can discover some form against Bangladesh.

I see bell is among the wickets again. Does this give the 3 bowlers plus freddie option more weight ?
