Luke Sutton

He is having another good season and also captaining the Derbyshire side and he is much improved with the bat. How far down the list of England wicket keepers would you say he is?

Well i would have Jones,Prior,Read,Wallace and Foster in front of him for starters. He is a decent player but i don't think he is anywhere near a call up to any future England side.

Not heard much of Wallace is he a batsman wicket keeper or a keeper? Is he Glamorgan? Agree with all of them.

Lancashire Interest?

Is it true Lancashire are interested in taking our captain to replace Hegg? I've not seen papers or been on the t'internet for a few days?

Wouldn't be surprised if he left.Lancashire are probably going to be in Div 1 next year and playing there will be far more rewarding than battling it out for the wooden spoon in Div 2.

Bob Willis reckons that Matt Prior is a worse keeper than GO Jones. Can this be possible? I've not really seen him keeping in a Championship game only in one day matches and he's always looked OK - nothing special just competent. His batting is better than Jones'.

Which is England in greater need of right now: chances taken....... or runs?

Either way.... Read would have to be straight back if there were an injury to Jones before the next Test: Read's batting this season has been pretty damn impresive.... and not even Foster can tough him with the gloves: he's a natural.... and with alll the work in the world on sorting their act out... none naturals will always struggle to reach a level worthy of comparison.

Wicketkeeper or Wicketkeeper Batsman

Of the keepers that have been mentioned so far - Jones, Read, Prior, Foster, Wallace and Sutton - which would be classed as wicket keepers and which would be keeper/batsmen. Also which would you pick for a test side? My view is, unless you can pick a keeper/batsman that will average 50-ish (Gilchrist) then you must pick a true wicket keeper because over a series his specialist wicketkeeping will save you more runs than you will lose not picking a keeper/batsman.
