This weeks County Games

Can I just say that Derby have got themselves in a really strong position in the County game against Northants. After bowling Northants out for 140 we have scored 135-4, with 3 days still to play. Obviously a good position is no guarantee with Derbyshire (we only needed 20 with 6 wickets to spare in the last CC game versus Somerset) but it is a very good start. Hopefully Hasan Andan and Luke Sutton can build on their current partnership and post a decent lead.

How are your team doing today?

Derbyshire have already lost 2 wickets. The thought of being on top must make them nervous, but we have moved onto 178, therefore 38 runs ahead with 4 first innings wickets remaining. Come On!

Notts title challenge has faltered badly in this weeks games.Looking like Kent are going to win it.

You may also note I have gone very quiet on the Derbyshire front! How can we be so consistantly poor.

A good start to the game with Warwickshire yesterday though. Kent are favourites now but it could still be close.

Kent have got a good chance of beating Hampshire today,Notts need to beat Warwickshire and put them out of the reckoning.
Be a shame if Surrey got relegated

Notts have still to play both Glamorgan and Gloucestershire whereas Kent have to play Middlesex twice. Notts also need Younis Khan to begin contributing! It may well go down to the Kent - Notts match in September at Canterbury though Sussex and Hampshire supporters may claim their team has a chance.

I was shocked to see Sarwn in the Glouster team - when did they sign him?

James Anderson can forget an England return in the near future,he bowled garbage today and lacks pace as well. Can't see him playing for England for a long time. All hype and no end product.A bowling version of Mark Lathwell.

Early July.

Chris Gayle signed for Worcestershire earlier this month.
