Inzi wants to play County Cricket

Inzi said a while back he'd like to play county cricket. (Full story by Rueters here)

Pakistan will be busy touring India until Feb, and then we a series against England from July, the four test matches and series of one-day games will last until September, I think, making Inzi available for county action for the first half of the season.

I wonder which counties will be interested in having him? And I also wonder which county approached him with an offer last year, may be the same county will do so this year?

Won't be Durham since we've already signed up Mike Hussey and Mick Lewis for another season. It'll be interesting to see, but I think it would probably be a first division club.

Perhaps he wants to go and play at Lords.I hear they do good teas there.

Seriously though he probably just wants a decent payday to top off his career. He deserves it too.

I suppose so, though I agree, the Lords lunches may just tempt him! Or he could go to Taunton to enjoy the short boundaries. I wonder if we can get a list of who is signed up for which county next year to assess possible gaps in overseas player slots?

I'd love to have him at Chelmsford, would give me another reason to remain totally head over heals in love with Essex.
I'm not sure though if he'd be needed there, Mellons will know that. If we do, then it would be brilliant.

Noticed you're a Dolphins fan Zainub, how's Benky doing at the moment?

Benky? Who is Benky?

I support Dolphins, as in the Karachi Dolphins otherwise also known as Karachi Harbour and formerly known as Karachi Whites, led by the great Moin Khan.

Oh, right. I meant the South African team Dolphins, whom Dale Benkenstein (AKA Benky) plays for when he's not with Durham.
