Should Harmi shave more?

I'm not sure if this is purely coincidental but I noticed that Steve Harmison bowls well just after he has shaved. At the start of the county season he bowled very well with an average of 14.51, at Durham he says they have to shave all the time, also in the first test in the Ashes he took 5-43 and 3-54. In addition to that he has just shaven in the tour of Pakistan and in the final ODI he took 1-27 with 3 maidens with some very good bowling. Do you think he should shave more?

Dont think so. I think bowling is a natural talent. If u are a good bowler good things will happen. It dosnt matter on looks just try your hardest.

Wink

hmmm interesting thoery with some good backed up points, but in 2004, didn't he have a good year, and shave throughout it?

some things we do with our bodies result in lack of ability, for example; eating unhealthy food results in obesity, smoking reduces our stamina before eventually killing us, and sitting to close to the Television will equal damaging your eyesight.

although i don't think shaving will cause any really bad problems, or in fact not shaving, so really it doesn't make a difference, although to some people, it is a superstition...

I would have thought shaving his armpits (and irritation as it grew back) could be a factor. Vrock, any info on this aspect of his shaving?

Sadly no Leafy. I think I would worry about myself if I knew that kind of information.

You never know, although he seems to like his "mop" so I very much doubt that he would shave it off. It would be very odd if it had the same sort of effect though.

He'll need it to protect his head from sunburn and sunstroke in India, which makes me think Freddie should grow his mini-mop that he had in 2004 to protect himself too, and Simon Jones should re-cultivate that thin covering he used to have, a la West Indies 2004. Not that they have much time to do it!
