Football capital, isn't the new Wembley Stadium being finished for the FA Cup final?

Wembley may be where they play the big matches in football, but Wigan have burst on to the scene as a Premier league football team, they have long been a force in the game played by men with funny shaped balls, and cricket is just the final one of the big three to move to Wigan.

I confidently predict that within a couple of years it will be strawberries and cream for two weeks during Wigan fortnight, the tour de Wigan the possibilities are endless

Okay then, Lords is the home of cricket, so Wigan is the home of English cricket, or will be?

Could be the home of one of THE biggest teams in English cricket at least.

I do wonder if they could find an area with a slightly lower amount of rain during the summer than Old Trafford?
Or is that not possible on the wrong side of the penines?

Well that's the best news - I could not see Lancashire not playing at Old Trafford.

Bitter sweet really - had Lanc's moved to Wigan that would have been ony a 10 minute 5 mile drive away for me, but the staying at Old Trafford is the best News.

Good news, Lancs moving away from Old Trafford is unfathomable. It's like separating tea and milk!
