| They keep saying this every year near the AGM. I think its really more to do with getting cash off Trafford Council, especially with everything thats been invested there other than the ground (indoor school etc). I seem to remember Warwickshire doing something similar to shut the residents up over the floodlights - threaten to move and make them think how much they'll be missed. |

| If it happened it wouldn't surprise me. With Headlingley now back in the picture and other grounds stepping up to the mark I can quite see the ground missing out on tests. If they re-developed it would have to sooner rather than later.

| I wouldn't like to see Old Trafford become a modern housing or industrial estate. The ground does need some redeveloping to avoid being overtaken as an international venue. But think of some of the feats at the ground down the years. Two spinners spring to mind: Laker in '56 and Warne in '93. I think people are too eager to dig up old places and start afresh, when a bit of reworking will do the trick.

Plus the ground is full of history, and in my book - that counts a lot.

| In the Manchester Evening News the other night, they featured a lifelong Lancs member who is trying to get elected to the board. He was fully behind staying at Old Trafford and giving it the much-needed attention to get it back up to being a top international arena. OT has been neglected, and the money spend on it has been used unwisely i.e. the unnecesary double-tiered stand opposite the pavilion, which is only full fot tests or ODIs.

| Other counties can find the money to do up their grounds. There is no way I want us to move from Old Trafford with the history behind it. If we move we are unlikely to get Test status at the new ground. Maybe once the ground has been done up we might get some swing for our bowlers! Beg, borrow or steal but get the money for refurbishment asap. |

| In financial terms, Lancs have often been the most successful county. There is absolutely no excuse for failing to put some of that money into ground refurbishments. No need to beg, borrow or steal. Stumping up is what is needed.

| It's a simple choice, and I think that Lancs need to get the ground refurbished and really put the ground on the map so to speak, it seems that at the moment all of the grounds in England(and Wales if you include Sophia Gardens) are aiming for a)test matches and b)to have the best facilities. Lancs have one of these and if they do nothing will lose it.
