Lightbulb Ind-Pak series in England?!

What do you guys say about an Ind-Pak test & ODI series in England? I'm sure there would be a lot of public support for it but am equally sure about the BCCI, PCB & ECB fighting over revenue issues.

At least they might get a result pitch to play on - that would sort out some of those greedy batsmen!

I think it would be a good idea, to allow for the batsmen to face quicker bowlers when the ball is seaming a lot! However there is a very small chance of this...Maybe ODI's but not test matches.

An interesting idea, but I couldn't see it happening.

I know an ODI series had been propose few years back, but nothing actually happened.

I would understand why it would happen, but I would hope that if Pakistan and India did play a series in England, I would hope that it would be at least a tri-nations with England involved.

Sounds like a good idea to me.Just fitting it into the busy schedule would be a problem though.

The ICC are going to "review" the six year plan...However the most that will come of this will be a way to cramp the Ashes in Australia in 2010 into an even smaller amount of time. Although we could see this IF we managed to get India and Pakistan touring in the same summer.

Can't see the Indians agreeing to play in a country where the pitches would tend to very much favour the Pakistani quicks...Try playing it in Aus where the spinners have more of an even chance and it doesn't show up the Indian battings weaknesses against the moving ball quite so much.

This would be the way to do it. A series between Pakistan and India would certainly attract support, and not just from the UK South Asian population, but one thing which mitigates against it is that the UK is about the most expensive place on the planet to run such a competition. Travelling support from the sub-continent would be thin on the ground, I'd guess, and having an England interest would give an increased chance of a financial success for all boards involved. However, I've just had a quick butcher's at the future tours programme and India and Pakistan are not scheduled to be in England in the same summer any time before 2011, so we'll have a while to wait.
