Sussex beat Surrey comfortably, about 2 overs to spare. Poor batting performance by Surrey - highest score of around 30!

Ah ha! ye of little faith! the irony that my wildcard choice of Notts is spot on but my other reasonably sensible choices based on previous performances are no where to be seen.

Hants are taking a real drubbing this time round :*( I'm off to see them tomorrow v sussex though so hopefully i'll bring my influence to bear

Durham are pants at Twenty20, but somehow we managed to beat Lancs! Bizarre.

Even more bizarre you lost to Yorkshire!

The surprise so far for me is Justin Langer, for a guy who doesn't play one-dayers for Australia anymore and only playing his first Twenty20 match a week before this tournament he has made scores of:

90
23
76*
45
97

He's made all of these scores at more than a run-a-ball and some of them were closer to a strike rate of 200 rather than 100. Amazing stuff from a guy who really is striking the ball well at the moment.

Tonight on SS1 was the dead rubber, for the visiting side anyway, between Essex and Middlesex at Chelmsford.

The usual Twenty20 match with a mixture of quality strokes and ultimate slogs, all of which were lapped up by the crowd.

Some young faces looked impressive, certainly it's good exposure for them when some sides are already out of the competition and the older faces of the side need a break.

I hear Ramps was having a bit of aggro with the Hampshire crowd who were heckling him yesterday. Cricinfo says he whipped his shirt off and ran to goad them at the conclusion of the match. Shame to see fans and players at each other's throats like that.

Can't believe how well we are doing in this competition this year.
we normally struggle to win one game.

Surrey will probably thrash Middlesex, Middlesex can't win a game at the moment, some more youngsters will hopefully get a chance to make some runs and possibly take wickets.

Just another thing I remembered from yesterday evening, it was nice to see all 6ft10 of Will Jefferson back in action yesterday evening, he scored an excellent fifty with a couple of really huge sixes off the front foot!

Was an alright game, being there was a bit boring as the Surrey innings slowed down in the middle. Surrey out classed Middlesex which is good to see. Great catch from Clarke in the slips!

Going in my bag was searched and i was made to remove cans, what is the world coming to. Why can i not take cans of drink in to a cricket match. Next they'll make you remove sheos before going in and not allow food, it's just rediculous.
