well here we go.

Lancashire vs. Warwickshire at Old Trafford.

Warwickshire won the toss and chose to bat...they got 208-7. Knight and Troughton both scored 50s.

I hope Carter and Streak do the business with the new ball.

Carter didn't even get the new ball Speedboy. Dagget, if memory serves, took it and didn't do particuarly well with it. Carter came on as first change and, in fact, picked up both of the wickets to fall in the 38.4 overs Lancs batted for.

Two good knocks, from Astle and Chilton, won the match for Lancs with a perfectly timed run chase on a reasonable wicket.

Amazing that Lancs have only just won their first game of this whole league! Only one match left for them also.

Warne has just got a ball in the face... it went through his helmet!

Hants 30-1 v Worcs after 9.1 overs

Blimey - he was bleeding quite badly and it looked really nasty.

Shouldn't be a long term thing that stops him bowling but he might need stitches.

Not good for Hampshire in this match though, especially if Warne can't bowl in Worcs' innings. Carberry gone for 13 and Hants now 46-3.

Worcester was cruising to a win until the rain intervened, but they won anyway on D/L.

Hampshire batted quite badly, apart from Thornely.

Good bowling from Bruce.
