I am amazed but happy he is playing for Yorkshire in the current game.Wasn't expecting him to play in any of the matches that remained this season.

As for the one day side i think Bell deserves an extended run at 3 but i was surprised Yardy was dropped for Clarke.Opening berths should be left to Strauss,Tresco and Cook and hopefully we find a decent partner for Tresco before the World Cup.

That would be my choice.I would leave Harmison out as he is too unreliable as is Mahmood.

I would like to see Ed Joyce up there with Trescothick. He deserves a chance and plus if we are looking to move forward then I think we should move forward through Ed Joyce. He is a good player and he may compliment Trescothick well. Also maybe Owais Shah might be in with a shout but for me it has to be Ed Joyce.

Shah may indeed be in with a shout but was terrible against India, looking far too nervous and far more than I imagined he would be, being described as a confident man. Joyce would be my preferred option for the moment.
