| Yorkshire are in even more turmoil then. I wonder what sort of reception Adams will get at Sussex after basically walking off for the money then returning? |

| http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cric...es/6148430.stm Good grief. I wonder if Adams is going to expect the captaincy back as well... I certainly wouldn't give it back to him after the (sort of) disloyalty he showed. And now who's going to captain Yorkshire, I suppose minds go back to Younis Khan?

| i think hell get a great reception, after what hes done for the club, especially last season. i would be dissapointed if the Sussex faithfull gave him a slandering. I was at the match against Lancs, when we were something like 5-2, and he won the match (with a little help from Ollie Rayner), with a brilliant century. That was one of the best innings ive been lucky enough to witness. An absolute priviledge to be there when he did that. anyways heres the link, from Yorkshires website:http://www.yorkshireccc.com/news/news743607204

| just recieved an e-mail from Sussex C.C.C. it read: It is with great delight that Sussex County Cricket Club can announce that Chris Adams has decided to remain at Sussex and will not be taking up the position offered to him by Yorkshire CCC. Chris feels that the challenge facing him is too much, too soon. He has made the decision to remain at Sussex as a player and honour his contract and will look to move into a management role when the time is right. Sussex's Chief Executive, Gus Mackay, was delighted by Chris' decision: "When Chris informed us that he would not be taking up Yorkshire's offer Sussex we were thrilled at the news. Chris has been so much a part of the Sussex success story that although we wished him well with his new venture we knew he would be missed. We are all extremely pleased that he will remain a Sussex man". The Sussex staff were told of Chris Adams' decision late on Tuesday afternoon and there was genuine delight at the news. just in case anybody cared

| I was a bit put out that he basically buggered off for the cash and kudos of being guaranteed a place on the coaching team, but it would be good to have him back as he's done so much to help the side in the past few years. I imagine a few Sussex players who had their eye on the captaincy might be a little put out though.
