Made any plans?

Has anyone rescheduled their lives to compensate for the timing of the upcoming matches? I can't take any more time off on holiday, so short of a few inconspicuous sickies, my plan involves getting home from work (about 5.15 ish) and then going straight to bed, and starting my "evening" at 11pm in front of Sky Sports.

That was certainly something I used to do...

But as I am now married, and finances dictate that SKY Sports is a luxury, then I will not be allowed to do such great things this time around.

As it is in 3 weeks, I head to Oz, so that will compensate for my lack of live action for the first two tests!!

Well i am staying up for the first session of day 1 and then the kids will wake me up around 6 so i will leap out of bed and stick it straight on.For the rest of the games i will go to bed early and get up between 3 and 4 each morning. On days when i have a match to do though i will have to be sensible and only get up at 6.

For the first day of the first test I'll be going to bed very early so I can get up and watch the full day's play. At the weekends I'll be doing the same and for the other weekdays I'll be watching the afternoon and evening sessions.

Hopefully my school work won't suffer too much.

We got Sky especially for the cricket, but now I'm pregnant, we go to bed at 10pm!!!
So that counts out most of it.

I've suggested moving the bed to the lounge...

Perth starts at 2.30am, so that's out of the question.

I may get up early and watch the end of play before I have to go to work.

I have no chance of watching/listening to any of it in all honesty, I find I can't sleep before 9pm and if I do fall asleep I sleep through WW3. So if I catch any action it'd be a miracle.

Congratulations Moss, the marvel that is child birth.

If you miss the action Sky are doing highlights three times a day so you'll have every opportunity to see the cricket.

So are you hoping for the next Kevin Pietersen or an npower girl? (a boy or a girl basically, just my poor generalisation to make it cricket related, please don't take offence, it's not intended)

You might want to lie in bed a bit longer, SixandOut. I don't have the times for this year's games right in front of me, but start of play is usually midnight GMT for Brisbane, 0030 GMT for Adelaide, 0230 GMT for Perth. Only in Melbourne and Sydney do they usually start before midnight, with starts at 2330 GMT being the norm there.

Mmm, looking forward to pushing a melon through a keyhole!

Ahem....it looks like it will be a girl, so my husband slightly had to change his plans about it being the next Kevin Pietersen. I reminded him it could be the next Clare Connor, but he muttered something about "Women's cricket...."
