| The majority of Kolpak players are either youngsters likely to leave their home nation and set up in the UK or those who are past it and looking for a final payday. Many of those we suspect are Kolpak players actually have UK passports. The likes of Greg Smith (formerly at Notts) had a UK passport so was never a Kolpaker. The Kolpakers are those with no links to the UK, Deon Kruis and Martin Van Jaarsveld beng two examples. I do believe that some of Hampshire's have UK passports and may qualify for England eventually. |
