Who will win the county championship this year?
The favorites have got to be lancs (especially with the signing of murali and brad hodge who's averaging 80 in australian state cricket) , but with warne now with hampsire full time they've got to be looked upon as contenders, and you can never count out sussex last years winners, and maybe one of the new boys wil make a suprise.

I'd go with Lancs as well.They only had one defeat in Division 1 last year.If they can turn a couple of their 9 draws into wins and be lucky with the weather then there's no reason why they can't go one better than 2006.

I know I am seriously optimistic, but it looks like Colly and Harmy may well be available for a lot more of the Durham season, Plunkett is looking very good, Onions did well last year and has a winter of A team cricket behind him, Davies should be fit this year, Benkenstein has scored loads of runs the last two years, we have added DeVenuto to strengthen the batting, the team in short is starting to look very good.

For me, Durham are a good strong outsider, Hants would be my other tip.
